AI Footfall For Retail Stores

The cameras at the door already see everyone who walks in. AI Footfall turns that view into a count the store can use the same day.

Footfall is the number of people who enter a store. It is not the same thing as sales, and it is not the same thing as how many people are inside at one moment. A store that only looks at the till never knows whether a quiet hour was an empty door or a full shop that did not buy.

Most stores already pay for cameras at the entrance, the tills and the shop floor. Those cameras record. They do not, by themselves, tell a manager how many people came in between 12 and 1, which aisle went quiet, or which branch in a chain had the rush.

AI Footfall is Infinoid Secure software for that job. It counts entries and exits on the door cameras you already have, shows the busier hours, and can watch a queue or a zone on the floor. Security alerts after closing stay available on the same cameras. The product is not Eagle Eye. Eagle Eye remains a separate AI CCTV platform.

Why Teams Ask For This

A Clicker At The Door Is A Guess

A person with a hand counter misses the lunch crowd, counts the same family twice, and stops when they are serving. The number in the book and the number who walked in are not the same number.

The Till Hides The Empty Hour

Sales say what was bought. They do not say how many people walked past a display and left. Staffing and layout decisions need the visit, not only the receipt.

A Chain Cannot See Today

Each store keeps its own recording. An area manager finds out a branch was dead on Saturday when the week is already over.

The Security Cameras Are Unused By The Shop

Loss prevention watches playback after a theft. The store manager never sees the same cameras as a count of the trading day.

How AI Footfall Works

Each step is something a pilot can check. A step that does not fit the site is said out loud, not hidden in a demo.

01

Pick The Door Camera

The count starts on a camera that sees the whole entrance, facing the flow of people, not into a bright window that washes the picture out. If the door is wide, more than one camera may be needed so people are not hidden behind each other.

02

Draw The Line

A line across the entrance decides an entry from an exit. People who cross inward count as in. People who cross outward count as out. Staff who use that door are counted too, unless the line is placed where only customers pass.

03

Keep A Separate Inside Count

People already in the shop are not the same as people who entered. A zone on the floor shows where people stood. That is occupancy of an area, not the door total. The two numbers are shown apart so nobody adds them together.

04

Mark A Queue

A queue is a zone at a till or a counter. When the zone stays full, the store sees it during the shift. It is a length and a wait the camera can see. It is not a prediction of who will buy.

05

Roll The Hours Up

Counts are kept by hour and by day, for one store and for every store you connect. A manager compares branches without exporting a spreadsheet from each shop.

06

Leave The Night Camera On

After the store closes, the same entrance and stockroom cameras can still raise an alert for movement. That alert is a security event. It is not added to the day's footfall.

What You See

In And Out

Entries and exits for the period you pick, by store.

The Shape Of The Day

Which hours filled the shop, and which hours did not.

Zones

Parts of the floor people used, kept separate from the door count.

A Queue That Built Up

The till or counter zone while people were still standing in it.

Every Branch

One screen for the stores you have connected, not one login per shop.

The Clip

A count can be opened back to the camera view, so a strange spike can be checked instead of trusted blindly.

Who It Is For

  • A single store that wants a real door count
  • Supermarkets and hypermarkets
  • Fashion, electronics and pharmacy chains
  • Franchise networks that compare branches
  • Shopping centres watching mall entrances and tenant doors
  • Retail operations teams who plan staff from the rush, not from habit

What This Product Will Not Do

These limits are part of the product. A pilot that needs the opposite is the wrong product.

It Does Not Know Who The Person Is

Footfall counts a crossing. It does not name the shopper, and it is not a face register of customers.

A Bad Camera Makes A Bad Count

If people overlap, if the lens looks into the sun, or if the door is outside the frame, the count is weaker. The pilot is where that camera is accepted or moved. We do not publish an accuracy percentage.

It Does Not Calculate Conversion

Conversion is sales divided by visits. AI Footfall supplies the visits. Your till supplies the sales. The product does not connect to a cash register unless that work is scoped separately.

Staff Can Inflate The Door

Employees using the customer door are people. If you need them excluded, the line has to sit where they do not pass, or they need another door.

How A Pilot Runs

  1. 1One store, the real entrance camera, and a week of trading.
  2. 2We agree which doors count, and which zones are queues or floor areas.
  3. 3You compare the hourly totals with what the team saw on the floor.
  4. 4If the camera cannot see the door properly, we say so before a chain rollout.
  5. 5A chain pilot adds a second store only after the first door count is understood.

Questions Worth Answering First

What Is Footfall, In One Sentence?

Footfall is how many people entered the store. It is not sales, and it is not how many people are standing inside at one moment.

What Is The Difference Between Footfall And Occupancy?

Footfall counts crossings of the entrance. Occupancy is who is in a zone now. AI Footfall keeps those numbers separate.

Can I Use The Cameras I Already Installed?

Yes, where the camera sees the entrance and the network can deliver the picture. A camera that only watches a till is the wrong camera for a door count.

Will It Count Children And Groups?

It counts people who cross the line. A family crossing together can be hard to separate if they overlap in the picture. That is why the door view is checked in the pilot.

Does A Queue Alert Mean The Store Is Losing Sales?

No. It means the zone at the till or counter stayed busy. What you do about staffing is your decision.

Can An Area Manager See Every Store?

Yes. Connected stores sit on one dashboard, with each store's own totals.

Is AI Footfall The Same As Eagle Eye?

No. AI Footfall is its own product for retail counts. Eagle Eye is a separate AI CCTV platform.

Do You Publish An Accuracy Rate?

No. A percentage from another building would be a false promise. The pilot shows you the count against your own door.
